Ground Improvement

Frankipaction rammed columns are constructed by driving a temporary casing introducing hard course aggregate (stone columns) or course-grained sand (sand piles) into the casing in measured charges, and then compacting it as the casing is withdrawn.

This method does not require jetting and therefore does not bring any of the in-situ material or water to the surface. This method results in a very compact column with a controlled diameter usually about 80cm.

Frankipaction rammed columns can be used in most soil conditions, including silts, sands, and clays.
